Physical therapy or physiotherapy is the process associated with health professions. It is a process to address the pain and injuries that limit the person’s disabilities to move. Most individuals think physiotherapy can be painful, that’s why they don’t want to enroll themselves in the process of physiotherapy. But the main motive behind physiotherapy is to provide long-term health benefits. Mostly the pain is caused when therapists stress the affected or swollen areas. If pressure would be taken off from the injuries, or inactivation of the affected area can lead to several health issues and cause major serious problems. Physiotherapy is totally based on the concept” No pain, No gain”. Here are the reasons that cause pain while in physical therapy.
Formation of Scar Tissue: While going through the process of healing injuries by physical therapy, scars tissues are formed around the injury. Same as filling a hole with plaster. Therapists need to lay down tissues carefully and correctly to prevent any major injuries and permanent limitations.
Tightening of the Soft Tissue Around the Joint: if the soft tissues would not be moved in the normal range of motion, they will start tightening up around the joint, which would result in limiting the movements of the joints
Muscles are Tight or Inflamed: when a muscle will tear, inflammation will flood to the action area. Although inflammation can bring various nutrients and chemicals to the affected area that will help patients to recover, too much inflammation may impact negative effects. Either it is good or bad, it would cause pain.
